A blurry sundress

It's been raining all day. I fixed most of the problems with the sundress, and it fits really well with the exception of shortening the back straps just a smidge more on one side (tomorrow). She was playing with her mama and baby dollhouse dolls and they were hugging, and giving 'whee ride' (bounce baby up in the air). It was late and dark and she was active so it was hard to catch a picture that showed the dress well, but I tried anyway.

Blurry picture, but the dress is a success.

She ate 'chicken foop' and French bread for dinner, which is an accomplishment for her. It isn't one of the 'Esme-approved' food groups. I asked her to show the puppies how you eat foop, and she took that as a challenge ;)

Some ladies on a bulletin board I belong to suggested we take Esme to the nearest Target and show her a line of dolls called 'Our Generation.' They are about the price range I'm thinking is feasible for a birthday present and Esme would actually get to see it and approve or not etc.. That sounds a lot better than ordering something that she might not like! I'm sure we'll make it Jackson in the next few months to let her take a look.

They also suggested this doll : Little Mommy Hopscotch - which is not really expensive and just about right for Esme. She said it was a pretty girl and she liked her shoes, too... this kid has a shoe fetish!

Love the sundress! You always have such gorgeous fabrics to make things for Esme!

Thank you :) This little print was off of the 1.50/yd clearance rack at our local store, and is lined with plain muslin. The bias cut on the bodice was difficult to sew in this light weight fabric, it kept wanting to curl under the needle -- but I kept it down with lots of pins and it didn't pucker too badly anywhere.
